How do I access the back office?

Upon first contracting, watch for an email from Assurity with your Agency and/or Agent number.

Once you create your account, your back office will be accessed HERE

What makes Assurity special?

Assurity has a dedicated support team that will help you through the entire sales process.  They have direct access to underwriting, billing and more and response time in incredibly quick.

What are the issuing requirements?

Simplified issue is available for 3 or more lives.  Guaranteed issue is available for 10+ lives.

Where do I start a quote?

It’s best to contact Rachel at rvandermuss@assurity.com or 402-437-3465 and provide the Employer name and address so underwriting can verify the employer SIC.  This will prevent any mistakes in providing an accurate quote. 

Rachel will also send you the quote proposal(s) when provided what you want quoted and whether there are products in force in order to save you time.

Are the plans customizable?

Yes!  If you are trying to hit a particular price point, you can call our Madivio consultant Rachael at 402-437-3465 and she will work with you to design the perfect proposal for your prospect.

How are pre-existing conditions handled?

Pre-ex is waived for takeover situations / Continuity of Coverage during the initial enrollment only or we can waive pre-ex for the entire group during the initial enrollment and for new hires.

See below for specifics:

Waive Pre-ex - Continuity of Coverage (takeover situations) Assurity will waive pre-ex only for employees who have coverage currently and move over to Assurity during the initial enrollment. This will add a slight load to the rate when this endorsement is included on the Disability product.

There is no rate load on Critical lllness or Hospital. Those who do not have coverage previously (or did but did not move over during the initial enrollment) will be subject to the standard pre-ex clause.  An invoice dated within the last 3 months is required.

Who is eligible to participate in the plan(s)?

To be eligible for coverage, employers must:

• Be in business for a minimum of one year,

• Be in an eligible industry (see Industry Class Guide in product guide),

• Have a valid employer/employee relationship (self-employed, one-person businesses and home-based businesses do not qualify as employer/employee groups).

As a general rule, Assurity does not consider association, affinity or union groups to be eligible employers. Approval of any employer or other group, including associations or unions, is at the discretion of Assurity.

What is the best way to take an application?

Assurity offers paper applications as well as DocuSign for the employer.

How long does it take from application to issuance?

With a completed enrollment packet, issuance can be as soon as 4 days.
